PLACED!

Phew. What a hectic semester this has been. Well it has all ended now. I am placed in TCS. Can’t explain how tiring and thrilling the last two days have been. The most difficult part was sitting, sitting in the auditorium with 2500 aspirants and waiting for your name to be screened and announced. And doing the same thing again after the interview round. TCS has created a record for recruiting 1080 students from a single campus. SRM University, I am really proud of being a part of it. SRM did put all its effort to help the students. It conducted training programs, all the prior mail notifications in yahoo groups and what not. All credits to SRM. What a wonderful day. I am happy to clear my primary goal. But the main goal is too far ahead. But for the time being it’s time to relax. It’s time to go home. Home at last. : )

-------------FUCK LIFE--------------

Life will fuck you in your ass, so hard..
you will barely be able to walk!
You might never know whether it was once or twice,
in fact, you could have also been fucked by a mice!
But life isn't about you getting fucked!
Its about how you retaliate, how you fuck back harder
No! not the mouse you dumb fuck!
I am talking about life.

Dreams always come true!

As I have discussed earlier every man is different. His childhood and the environment in which he lives makes him a unique. Among all these different types of men, there is one such type, whom i admire the most, who have this exceptional quality, which i am about to explain. These people don't get influenced, disheartened or discouraged by the happenings around them. They just don't care, because they only care about one thing during their entire term of existence, their 'passion'.

The very first word in the mind of a highly successful and prominent man is not passion. It is that thing which he has passion for. The most passionate of people rule the world. Never do they have time to think about an alternative course or to be pessimistic about something or to turn their back upon what they have chosen. They sit down, they see what they want, they analyze what they want and then they get what they want. No matter even if it’s a mountain which is to be conquered.

Like passion, love is also another form of such extreme feeling. I feel both love and passion are two words which convey the same meaning. But the word love has undergone some serious deterioration. Now love largely refers to falling for a girl or boy. I don't think anything is wrong about that. But in today's world, ruefully, people fall in love just for the sake of falling in love and to get accessible to all the other pleasures that come along with it.

For highly passionate people “Dreams always comes true”. Either they accomplish the dream or they perish trying. Time, money, situations, external desires, problems et cetera is by no means a restraining factor for them. I don’t think I need to cite examples of such people who have changed the world one way or the other. These people know what they live for. For them as they say "Life of purpose is purpose of Life".

PS

Well this post is mainly written just to strengthen my resolve, for my highly fluctuating mind. And also keeping in mind, the direction in which I am going to lead my life. I hope i would one day prove that "Dreams always come true".

You are a grown up ROBOT!

How hectic life has become these days! And to cope up with it I have sadly, though temporarily given up that one habit which I love the most- Reading novels. One of my last novels was 'Prey' by Michael Crichton. I was totally engrossed with it, not because of the plot though but because it made me acquainted to the world of programming. A program is generally a set of instructions grouped together to perform a specified task or to get a desired output.

Have you ever realized that how similar we are to Robots? Insane! Is it? Have you ever wondered that like a robot, you too are programmed? Perhaps like how we programmed robots, god or someone else programmed us! Don't think so? Read on..

We most often say or find people saying that each individual is different. Yes! We all are different, and what makes us different lies is our way of thinking. And our thinking was perhaps generally influenced by our childhood. As kids we were the most whimsical, acting on the spur of the moment, we never looked before we leaped, though more often than not ended up in trouble. We had this zeal in us for wanting to know more. We had this same enthusiasm while eating an ice cream or in tying a shoe lace.

A friend of mine had this habit of twitching his arm after writing every line. I noticed a scar on the top part of his right hand middle finger. I asked him why do you twitch your hand repeatedly? He told me that once by mistake he happened to cut that part of his finger and during that time he had difficulty in writing as the pen caused a burning sensation, hence the twitch. This has become a persistent habit now though many years have passed.

We as humans generally prefer to make a habit or a notion for everything consciously or subconsciously. The way you think is the way you act. You have already programmed yourself by dichotomizing and finding out the pros and cons of all things that were good and bad. And indeed you tend to stick with things which you like, either good or bad. If you are presented with a situation x number of times in your life you probably end up acting/reacting in the same way x number of times. Off course this is only true, unless and until you find a mistake in your mechanism and reprogram yourself. But after reprogramming, though you will act in a new way the first time, you will continue to act the same (new) way from then on. In short humans are predictable programmed robots.

Childhood is what makes the most of you. Childhood is that basic environment that influences your thinking, because as a kid you think less and understand more. I rather think that we should sometimes go back to our childlikeness, take some time off from our predictable nature and do unpredictable and whimsical things. Forget surprising others we should sometimes astonish ourselves. Perhaps why not open your heart and shout ’yeeeaaaaaahhhhhh’ this very moment. I guess you wouldn’t, because in your program a little bit of shyness is inherently present.

P.S

The example there of twitching arm though very weak, formed the basis for development of this idea along with the novel 'Prey'. I hope you understand what i meant in this post.

The Fountain Head - a catalyst

I had this friend of mine, who i thought was acting strange those days. I asked him whats wrong with you? you have become quite eccentric? He told me just three words- "THE FOUNTAIN HEAD". That's how it happened to me.

My whole journey through this book was an enthralling experience. Yes! An experience. Something i feel that everyone must go through. After that journey, my journey of life has become so easier and happier, that i never perceived any thing of such sort possible. You might be thinking that i am over-exaggerating. In fact this book is far beyond any level of Exaggeration. Let me have the privilege to give you a glimpse of whats in it.

The fountain head is the story of an architect Howard Roark(an individualist) and his struggle against the world, or rather it is the worlds struggle against him to bring him down or to break him of his principles. Ayn Rand through this book portrays Howard Roark(-the epitome of Self(I)ishness), as man who is intransigent and disinclined to change. She shows an explosive affair between Howard Roark and Dominique which makes the novel even more intriguing. Just read the novel to known the magnitude of the adjective 'Explosive'. An exact opposite of Howard Roark, Peter keatings is another main character whom you would ironically often relate to more than Roark. Through this novel the author preaches her philosophy of 'Individualism' and interprets that 'Ego(I)ism' is the top most 'head' of a 'fountain' which is depicted as the mans life.

This is the most effective philosophical work ever. It acts like a catalyst. The big difference from other such books is that it doesn't preach. As you read through this book you would imagine yourself like Keatings, and as the story unfolds you would want to be more like Roark. A catalyst will be set with in you for the change to occur.(this may only apply to people who are not happy with life).

I repeat that this is not even close to exaggeration. But I plead you, that if you happen to read this post before reading the novel, read the novel with an open mind. Expect nothing from the novel. cause as my philosophy goes "the more you expect, the less you get". :)

The start

Now then. This is something totally new to me. When i first heard about blogging i used to think of it something like open diary (more of a personal diary!). Back then being an Introvert(though i feel more like extrovert these days) the very thought of 'personal diary open to all' gave me jitters. This made me refrain from blogging. I also thought that i lack the basic tools of writing. Nevertheless nobody was born with a silver pen in his hand. Most of my friend told me that blogging is the most effective way to express yourself. And thesedays i certainly love expressing myself. so here it is... the start!

Well. what can you expect from me. Expect nothing! I am a wanderer. i might never take the second step! but if i do continue, which i wholeheartedly want to. i would end up putting the lamest of posts comprising, my view about this world, my view about my world, lame poetry which would only make sense to me, reviews, criticizing something or somebody(india, people, women, religion,..). The list is endless!.. whoa.. there is certainly lots i can write about!... but would i? lets see...

PS
wish me luck!

Life is a Journey

Often do I wonder,
Where would I be yonder.
The path is laid,
Oh!but the game is not often well played.
What should I do,
Where should I go,
When failure strikes with every blow.
"Never say die" said my soul,
I got up n started towards the pole

Often do I wonder,
Where would I be yonder.
Failure had struck with dead blow!
And in that I found my stepping stone.
Now as I do,
What I should always do,
I realized that I'll be remembered too.

Now as I wonder,
Standing on yonder,
I think of not the achievement that I made,
But the life that I spent for this desired fame.
Now as the years go by,
And that I am starting to dry,
I still think of not the achievement that I made,
But the journey I took which brought the once desired fame.
